Chris Woodhouse's production is wonderful; the bass doesn't dominate but makes it's presence felt with a persistent menace, guitars are distorted to deafness and diaphanous vocals waft like smoke.

A few people have compared them to Tame Impala, but the Aussies could only dream of putting together something as good as this. Unlike Ganglion Reef, which took its time to grow on me, Golem has instant appeal. Cave In and Floating Head are the stand-out tracks for me, but every track is good in its own way. It's been on repeat in the house for a day now, and I am not tiring of it. I hope my neighbours aren't either.
