Outside of orchestral recordings, Deram signed a number of artists who would become known as "progressive rock" innovators. For the first year or so, the UK and the US counterparts of Deram issued essentially the same records. Still, the ones the US label did release were among those released in the UK.
The unreleased singles in the US were rarely hits in the UK, and it appears to have been a cost saving measure.
The single was only the first of the track "Forever Afternoon Tuesday? Deram went to stereo-only album releases in the US at about the start of , while in the UK, mono and stereo releases continued until mid, when the UK catalog finally switched to stereo only.
The earliest two Deram singles were released about late September, In early , Deram released two singles by the Move which they had leased. But over the years, the song has proved its enduring popularity. Diametre: 15 mm. Ferdinand VI - Diametre: 23 mm. Charles IV - Starting Price: EUR Weight: Diametre: 36 mm. Charles III - Diametre: 37 mm. Carlos IV, king of Spain, Friedberg Very rare with the retrograde E in DEO. Good very fine.
Starting Price: CHF Felipe V, second reign, Very fine. Starting Price: 50 CHF Fernando VI, A few light marks, otherwise, very fine. Nicely toned. Carlos III, Starting Price: 75 CHF Watery golden brilliance flows across the surfaces of this exceptional example of the type, combining clear and boldly outlined detail with a degree of preservation that is undeniably on the precipice of gem. Only faint wisps of handling cap the assigned grade, with a clear reflectivity in the fields contributing to elevated visual appeal.
Conditionally rare in this state of preservation, and one of th A choice example featuring the bust of Charles III whose features are sharply outlined, standing in consequently high relief against the surrounding fields.
The offering retains a distinctive mint brilliance, with satiny luster embracing the outer registers and providing a pleasing framing effect to the central features. An almost universally circulated type that usually comes plagued by a weak central strike, the present example easily serves as the exception to all of these commonplace shortcomings.
Effortlessly lustrous from all angles, the viewer is immediately taken in by the sharpness and precision of the detailing and the overall originality of the surfaces. Unsurprisingly ranked undisputed as the finest certified A commendable representative combining elements of both satiny and flashy golden luster with a sound strike that leaves no weakness in the outlines of the devices. Soft tangerine tone makes its presence known to the reverse, with a minute planchet flaw noted to 8 o'clock purely for completeness.
Of rare quality for this conditionally elusive issue, and fittingly, the finest example of the date currently A fine example of this conditionally difficult issue featuring scattered light friction and highpoint rub that leaves a touch of flatness to the highest features, mint luster pervading across both faces of the planchet to confirm the grade assigned and pointing only to lighter circulation.
Clearly overdated, the outline of a "2" expressed underneath the final digit of the date. Gordon Variety B same. A much rarer variation of this ever-popular West Indies countermarked gold type, and the only example of this host date we have been able to locate. According to Gordon, the 22 over Eagle stamp was From the Plate Fleet. Incredibly fresh and adorned in sparkling luster, both the mintmark and assayer, as well as the date, remarkably legible and virtually fully struck, the '' being fully visible and the bottom half of the '3' digit showing just before the flan becomes beveled.
In addition to being desirable for its superb condition and visible date, this offering comes as only a one-ye Lightly struck, leaving larger sections of incomplete detail throughout the obverse and reverse faces. However, it also appears the case that this piece may in fact be conservatively graded, as considerable highpoint detail remains to the struck features.
Lustrous and highly collectible in this condition, with a few spots o An exceedingly difficult overdate for this denomination, apparently missing from both the Eliasberg and Rudman collections, with this being the first example we have seen. Record Grading see all. Release Year see all. Record Label see all. You will be credited for any contribution that adds something or corrects a mistake. We do not know all there is to know, nor do we have pictures of all there is to see. You are very welcome to make this guide more complete than it is now. At the moment we are lagging behind around seven months.
This is due to the still surprisingly large amount of contributions we receive, and to the necessity of doing some paid work as well. Please accept our apologies! We are compiling all Vertigo swirl releases from the inauguration of the label until the final straws in the late seventies and even early eighties.
Nor do we compile releases that had a later label design, even though the Vertigo logo may be used somewhere on the new label or on the cover. Also: we do not list any reissues. If you neglect to do this, you are actually breaking the law. If you want to quote more than just a quote, please feel free to ask permission to do so. Normally we will consent. Now read on England or perhaps we should say Britain was the country where the label first saw the light of day, and so we will handle the British releases first.
In the British department you will find most of the general information that we could retrieve. Of course, these are the most collectible anyway. Aspects which we will consider are the music itself but concisely , the packaging cover and inner sleeve, art-work, label design etc. The rarity-scale will be the usual one from COMMON nowadays only very few, if any , through SC scarce and further getting ever rarer from R1 to R5, this last meaning extremely rare and yes, we mean extremely rare.
You will probably have noticed that rarity and collector's cash or trade value do not necessarily match. A record can appear several times a month on many platforms and still command a high price, although it's obviously not very rare. Rarity scale indications are always for complete copies, that is with all posters, inserts and other paraphernalia intact and present.
The split-up by country will give you the opportunity to compare similar releases in different countries, as well as show you some releases you most likely have never seen. You thought that , and were not released? We will prove you wrong! Hoping you will enjoy the material we have compiled, we suggest that you click on the country of your choice and, again, read on To Peter Eklund from Sweden, who provided us with 22 pictures of Black Sabbath sleeves and corrected some mistakes in our Sabbath discography!
